## FCAS Study Guide

## How long does it take to become an FCAS?
The CAS published a [2016 Travel Time Analysis](https://www.casact.org/sites/default/files/2021-02/Updated_Travel_Time_Infographic__2016.pdf) which tracked how long it took to earn an FCAS from 1990 to 2014. In 2010 to 2014, it took a **median of 6.5 years from 1st employment and 8.25 years from 1st preliminary examination.** The fastest Travel Time ever recorded was 3.17 years.
